Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for a Pool (as needed) Maintenance Mechanic.
Maintenance Mechanic will perform duties that provide skilled service in the repair and maintenance of building systems, equipment, components, and fixtures that comprise the facility. Will receive and complete work assignments involving various preventive and corrective maintenance both indoors and outdoors for any/all campus buildings in support of equipment performance reliability, safe and comfortable living/working environments and community operations.Responsibilites:Perform maintenance and minor repairs on plumbing, electrical, heating and mechanical systems, ceiling and floor structures, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, and healthcare equipment.Perform maintenance, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance in resident apartments, common areas, and office areas as required.Replace or repair items such as: lightbulbs, switches, outlets, appliances, windows, fans, carpets, filters and other equipment as needed.Assist other skilled trades in repairing, replacing, maintaining, and completing new installation of major structural components or major equipment.Be able to work efficiently with various power and hand tools need to perform maintenance work.Rotate in an on call capacity as required, per on the on call procedure.Respond to all emergency situations as requested.Follow all safety rules and maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition.Perform other duties as assigned.Must be flexible to fill in on pm shift when required.Experience:Previous experience working in retirement, long term care, or acute care health facilities helpful.Knowledge of building structures and systems.Knowledge and experience of the use of power and hand tools.This organization does not discriminate in hiring or employment on the basis of ancestry, race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, military status, veteran status, or disability.
