THE POSITION

Do you have experience with reporting tools and Oracle SQL scripting, as well as proven leadership capabilities? If so, the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System (PMRS) needs you on our team! We are searching for a Business Analyst 4 to analyze our business needs of agency-wide interconnected, highly complex IT systems. Bring your talents to our department and unleash your potential!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Business Analyst 4, you will be responsible for the analysis of business needs related to PMRS' Comprehensive Pension Administration System (CPAS), financial accounting system (Dynamics 365), and enterprise content management system (ECM). These systems run PMRS' core businesses of administering pensions, financial accounting, and document management for participating commonwealth municipalities, authorities, and counties. You will have the opportunity to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT reporting tools (e.g., Crystal Reports, Power BI) and Oracle SQL scripts, while providing leadership and guidance to a team of IT professionals. Additional duties include coordinating and conducting meetings with internal PMRS business units, management, and executive management as needed in support of gathering business requirements pertaining to CPAS, Dynamics 365, ECM, or other related business applications.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week, upon successful completion of the required training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Business Analyst 3; or
  • Seven years of business process analysis experience; or
  • Three years of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
