Job Title: InterSystems Cache Developer
Position Type: Full-Time
Work Type/Location: Remote
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 8 years of experience in Intersystems technologies and a strong background in healthcare and laboratory information systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in programming, system upgrades, and problem-solving, along with experience in production support roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Provide consultation on complex projects and act as a top-level contributor.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integrity and seamless integration.
- Contribute to the upgrade and migration process, particularly in transitioning from Cache to IRIS.
- Perform system monitoring and production support, ensuring optimal performance.
Required Technical Skills:
- Intersystems Cache: Extensive experience in Object Script and Cache Server Pages.
- MUMPS: Proficiency in MUMPS programming language.
- Intersystems IRIS: Experience with Intersystems IRIS technology.
- Unix/Linux Shell Scripting: Strong knowledge of scripting for automation and system maintenance.
- SQL: Experience in SQL for database management and queries.
- JavaScript, CSS: Familiarity with front-end technologies.
- XML/XSLT: Knowledge of XML and XSLT for data transformation.
- HL7: Experience with the HL7 standard for healthcare data exchange.
- LIMS: Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Python: Proficiency in Python for automation and integration.
- JavaScript & Vue.js: Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js.
Non-Technical Skills:
- Strong communication skills, able to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience in providing production support, resolving system issues promptly.
- Familiarity with the healthcare domain, particularly with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), is a plus.
- Experience with system upgrades, especially from Cache to IRIS, is a valuable asset.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Intersystems technologies and healthcare domains.
