We are currently seeking a Senior Data Journalist to join a welcoming, diverse, and growing team in New York. The successful candidate will collaborate with the news team to uncover and report on news stories using data. This role involves generating, analyzing, and visualizing internal and external data to provide insights, context, and in-depth reporting on activities and trends in the private investment sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create data visualizations, such as charts, graphics, maps, and interactive tools, to enhance storytelling.

- Research and gather relevant data from various sources, including internal databases, government, and industry sources.

- Verify and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the collected data.

- Utilize data analytical tools to identify trends and anomalies within data collections.

- Train other journalists to advance their skills in data journalism and programming; help develop workflows, processes, and systems around data analysis.

- Vet datasets and analyses through thorough research and interviews.

- Collaborate with reporters and/or subject matter experts for content development.

- 3+ years of experience in an editorial or content environment is preferred.
