Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Patient Billing Specialist

Are you passionate about providing a strong patient experience and possess investigative skills? We're looking for Patient Billing Specialists to join MSK's Patient Billing department. In this role, you'll serve as a main financial representative to our patients, proactively communicating MSK’s billing practices and insurance processing procedures.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • At least one year of relevant healthcare experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.

Core Skills:

  • Results-oriented, highly organized, and able to perform accurately under pressure.
  • Skilled in professional, persuasive, and diplomatic communication to satisfy patients.
  • Knowledgeable about third-party claims processing and reimbursement.

Role Overview:

  • Provide guidance to patients via various communication channels.
  • Calculate the cost of care and resolve outstanding balances.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Additional Information:

Location: 8:00AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (when onsite) and 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM (when working from home)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9am–5pm

Reporting to: Supervisor, Patient Financial Services

Pay Range: $27.80-$43.08
