Job Description:

  • Develop and implement the overall data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology roadmap.
  • Design and maintain the data models, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all systems.
  • Oversee data governance policies and procedures.
  • Implement data quality standards and data management best practices.
  • Design and manage databases and data warehouses.
  • Optimize database performance and scalability.
  • Ensure data backup and disaster recovery plans are in place.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources.
  • Ensure ETL processes are efficient and reliable.
  • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business users to understand data needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate data architecture with the overall IT infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data team members.
  • Stay current with emerging data technologies and industry trends.
  • Evaluate and recommend new data tools and technologies to improve data architecture and management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role.

Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).

Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).

Experience with data modeling tools and techniques.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database programming.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Certifications in relevant data and cloud technologies.
