Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients and potential clients to comprehend their business needs and collect feedback on product direction and concepts.
  • Convert market and business requirements into clear, actionable product specifications.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage the product backlog based on business and customer significance.
  • Serve as Agile Product Owner for designated scrum teams.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams for the effective launch of new products and enhancements.
  • Develop and sustain a product roadmap for your assigned products.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to plan, oversee, and report on development timelines.
  • Confirm that solutions provide the intended value.
  • Review release notes, user documentation, and training materials; assist with functional and regression testing as required.
  • Advocate for the product and customer needs to the scrum team, conveying broader business objectives and their relevance to projects.
  • Execute all duties in adherence with company policies and procedures, including those related to PHI and PII.
  • Manage additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Understanding of healthcare data and interoperability standards, such as APIs, IHE, HL7, FHIR, XML, and clinical data formats.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in navigating ambiguity and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced or startup environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
  • Initiative-driven with a robust commitment to delivering value, even amid uncertainty.

Qualifications

  • Experience in articulating product plans to customers and managing expectations.
  • Background in the healthcare market, including familiarity with EMR applications, health information exchange/interface platforms, and care management systems.
  • Previous experience as an Agile Product Owner.
  • Experience in SaaS product management.
