Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to oversee the development and enhancement of our service offerings, ensuring alignment with the company s strategic goals while delivering value to our customers. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Engineering, Legal/Compliance, and Operations to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.

This Product Manager will represent the customer s voice and business objectives, define the vision and goals for our products while motivating teams and driving success.
Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Strategy:
    • Define the vision for core products and create strategies and tactics to drive success;
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy, considering market trends, customer feedback, and the competitive landscape.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Align internal and external stakeholders to the product vision;
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, Technology, Operations) to design solutions supporting the product strategy and roadmap.
  • Backlog & Feature Prioritization:
    • Define epics for core solutions and break them down into smaller features;
    • Maintain and prioritize the feature backlog using the RICE methodology (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort).
  • Agile Delivery:
    • Deliver prioritized features to Agile teams by writing problem statements, benefit hypotheses, and acceptance criteria aligned with enterprise strategies;
    • Ensure product development remains focused on core features and epics, adjusting based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Go-to-Market & Collaboration:
    • Work with Sales and Marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, and messaging that support product adoption and revenue growth;
    • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and trends, using the insights to inform product development.
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
    • Monitor and document the competitive landscape to make informed product development decisions;
    • Conduct regular product reviews and gather feedback from internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Product Discovery & Innovation:
    • Use product discovery tactics and tools to understand problems, prototype solutions, validate ideas, and iterate on requirements;
    • Continuously monitor key performance metrics, ROI, and market trends, making data-driven decisions to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Business Case Development:
    • Write business cases for large strategic projects and work closely with project teams to align the vision of these projects with overall enterprise strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or product ownership, ideally within Financial Services.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product strategies.
  • Extensive experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and roadmap creation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisive, pragmatic choices; focusing on progress over perfection while maintaining flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and methodologies (RICE, Agile).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage multiple projects that run simultaneously.


This is a 6-Month Contract-to-Hire opportunity with our Kansas City, MO client.
