Salary: $84,000 to $110,250

Indiegraf is seeking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress Developer responsible for both back and front-end development. This position requires deep domain expertise in Wordpress, React and interacting with RESTful APIs to extend core functionality.

This position starts as soon as possible. Applicants that are based and eligible to work in Canada are welcome to apply. This job is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lead Developer build custom blocks, plugins and API integrations
  • Craft documentation for implementation team to apply cross network
  • Customize and extend existing themes and plugins to meet project requirements, or develop custom plugins from scratch if necessary
  • Work in a collaborative development environment using GitHub
  • Elevate Indiegraf s coding practices and standards

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • A minimum of 10 years of development experience with Wordpress, PHP (Object oriented, Autoloading, PSR), React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery
  • Must possess advanced React experience
  • Knowledge of Wordpress coding standards and PHP coding standards
  • Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) and the ability to extend Wordpress REST API for custom routes
  • Integrate third-party APIs, create custom functionalities, and manage databases to enhance the overall functionality and user interaction of the websites
  • Knowledge of CI/CD workflows
  • Experience with package/build management tools like Composer, NPM, Webpack
  • Ability to extend Wordpress customizer and Site options to create custom settings for the theme
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and compatibility problems that may arise during the development phase
  • Experience developing responsive websites
  • Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools using Github
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible to changing priorities
  • Ability to efficiently manage time based on business priorities
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
