Description

TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT. 2-3 MONTHS MAX.

Job Description Summary: The chemistry lab technician is responsible for sustaining manufacturing by performing chemistry testing on various kinds of solutions and documenting the results to assure quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform analytical Chemistry testing for different kinds of aldehyde solutions using HPLC system.
  • Organize and carry out preparation of laboratory test reagents and standard solutions.
  • Support pH testing of the solutions as needed.
  • Responsible for testing and data review, in compliance with company procedures, specifications and cGMP/GLP.
  • Maintains and Trouble shoots HPLC equipment.
  • Coordinates with other departments to support manufacturing demand.
  • Assist with coordination of external laboratories testing of samples.
  • Keeps lab work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Comply with good laboratory practices, safety requirements, laboratory testing procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation such as reports and lab notebooks.
  • Maintains lab supply inventory.
  • Provide support for Microbiology functions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned by the laboratory manager.

TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT. 2-3 MONTHS MAX.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field and minimum three years of analytical chemistry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ year experience in medical device/ pharmaceutical and/or laboratory testing.

Skills and Abilities Required for This Job:

  • Hands-on experience with HPLC is strongly preferred.
  • Microbiology knowledge is a plus.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
