Description
TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT. 2-3 MONTHS MAX.
Job Description Summary: The chemistry lab technician is responsible for sustaining manufacturing by performing chemistry testing on various kinds of solutions and documenting the results to assure quality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical Chemistry testing for different kinds of aldehyde solutions using HPLC system.
- Organize and carry out preparation of laboratory test reagents and standard solutions.
- Support pH testing of the solutions as needed.
- Responsible for testing and data review, in compliance with company procedures, specifications and cGMP/GLP.
- Maintains and Trouble shoots HPLC equipment.
- Coordinates with other departments to support manufacturing demand.
- Assist with coordination of external laboratories testing of samples.
- Keeps lab work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Comply with good laboratory practices, safety requirements, laboratory testing procedures and company policies.
- Maintain appropriate documentation such as reports and lab notebooks.
- Maintains lab supply inventory.
- Provide support for Microbiology functions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned by the laboratory manager.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field and minimum three years of analytical chemistry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ year experience in medical device/ pharmaceutical and/or laboratory testing.
- Hands-on experience with HPLC is strongly preferred.
- Microbiology knowledge is a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
