The Role

The IT Director oversees the IT department and other technical operations. Their main duties include identifying UTG s IT needs, adding updates and enhancements to current computer systems, ensuring employees and client technical issues are resolved efficiently. This person will manage members on the IT team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee internal IT AND external customer IT support
  • Identify technology needs and make recommendations to business decision-makers
  • Evaluate the company s adherence to federal technology requirements for security
  • Manage the IT team including developers, security analysts, support technicians and vendors
  • Maintain company hardware and software programs
  • Update technological equipment in the company
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop, launch and enhance the organization s applications
  • Implement company-wide technology updates and hold sessions to teach employees on new features

Criteria

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years IT experience
  • Ability to lead and teach others
  • Research and analysis skills

Nice-to-Haves

  • Bachelor s degree
