As a Family Support Counselor at Kids in Distress, your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting assessments of families in crisis, developing service plans, providing counseling and support services, and collaborating with community resources to ensure families receive comprehensive care. - Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Social Work or related field.
- At least two (2) years of experience working with children and families, demonstrating a strong understanding of family dynamics and crisis intervention strategies.
- Must have a valid driver's license with no restrictions; good driving record (no serious infractions); vehicle in good working condition; automobile liability insurance that meets minimum agency requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, cultural competence, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting are crucial to successfully support families in crisis and make a positive impact on their lives.
