  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

  2. Click. then Settings.
  3. Click Privacy and Security.
  4. Click Site settings.
  5. Click JavaScript.
  6. Select Sites can use Javascript.

Senior UX Designer (Core UX)

Location: Chicago IL or Houston TX (once a week in office on average)

Notes:

  • Senior UX Designer Core UX
  • Hybrid - Must be local to Chicago or Houston
  • Work in CST Time; go to the office around once a week
  • What is the length of the assignment? We will do 6 months at a time and will extend as needed.

Top 5 Skill sets:

  • Experience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design
  • Great communication skills and experience working in multi-disciplinary highly collaborative teams
  • Experience working with digital entertainment and media technology development companies
  • Experience designing for accessibility and inclusivity
  • Working knowledge of Figma and other related software

Will this person have to travel?

  • Travel as needed for workshops or project specific needs

Interview Process:

  • 2 interviews; most likely video

Will the candidate(s) need to provide portfolios before interview or during interview?

Education/Certification:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience required

Knowledge/Skills

  • Solid grasp of web design principles and a good understanding of front-end web technologies required
  • Excellent understanding of user experience design for the Web, mobile, and touch devices required
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with minimal supervision required
  • Experience in writing detailed design specifications (IA, work flow, page functionality and layout, etc.), which technology developers use to build the product required
  • Must be a self-starter that can create schedules and define scope of work even when there are no clear requirements and direction required
  • Strong ability to communicate your design, defend your design decisions, and respond quickly to business needs required
  • Proven ability to set the design direction for your projects and to collaborate with other designers working in the space required
  • A team player who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment required

Experience

  • 5+ years professional UX design experience required
  • 8+ years professional UX design experience preferred
