Job Description:

The Change Management/ITSM Audit Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of AbbVie's change management processes. This position will involve auditing implemented changes, reviewing proposed changes, and conducting investigations to identify unauthorized changes. The Specialist will also be responsible for data mining, reporting, and training to enhance the overall effectiveness of the change management function.

Responsibilities

  • Audit Implemented Changes: Audit high/medium risk changes, particularly for manufacturing locations, to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Review Proposed Changes: Conduct pre-CAB reviews and assess the documentation of proposed changes.
  • Investigate Unauthorized Changes: Run regular investigations to identify unauthorized changes and their potential impact.
  • Data Mining: Mine data to analyze issues caused by changes and identify trends.
  • Reporting: Prepare and report change metrics to AbbVie stakeholders and business units to provide actionable insights.
  • Manage Failed Change Processes: Address failed change processes and implement corrective actions.
  • Standard Change Re-Certification: Conduct yearly re-certification of standard changes.
  • Year-End Change Exemption Process: Manage the year-end change exemption process.
  • Training: Train change staff on formal methods for assessing the impact of proposed changes, including developing additional templates.
  • Knowledge Article Management: Manage change-related knowledge articles as needed.
  • CAB Process: Manage the CAB process and meetings.
  • Pre-Production Testing: Verify pre-production testing.
  • Standard Change Identification: Identify low-risk and repetitive changes and convert them to standard changes.
  • Change Category Analysis: Periodically analyze urgent, expedited, and latent changes to identify and investigate potential misuse.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Change Management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.
  • Experience with change management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with data mining and analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, GxP).

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL certification (e.g., ITIL Foundation, ITIL Practitioner).
  • Experience with pharmaceutical or healthcare industry regulations.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
