Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for a Configuration Control Rep II to join its Engineering Configuration Management team in Endicott, NY. The Configuration Control Rep II will support production of aerospace control electronics for commercial and military applications. The candidate will regularly engage with engineers and manufacturing teams located in Endicott, NY and Fort Wayne. Job responsibilities for the position include:
  • Responsible and accountable for all matters pertaining to program configuration management. Ensures compliance with company and program policies. Reviews technical requirements and develops program-specific Configuration Management Plan(s) as required.
  • Windchill
  • Support account creation/maintenance
  • Provide administrative/troubleshooting support to engineering within the PLM system
  • JIRA/Bitbucket
  • Create Projects and provide administrative/troubleshooting support to engineering needs
  • Perform updates of Product Structures in the Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems.
  • Creates new documents in the PLM Systems.
  • Perform updates of Documents in the PLM Systems.
  • Perform administrative duties in the PLM systems such as re-routing or troubleshooting real or perceived issues in the Configuration Management (CM) Process.
  • Support Migrations and Data Validation when data from other systems is transferred into PLM systems.
  • Support testing and roll out of tool updates for configuration management tools such as the PLM System.
  • Ensure compliance with proprietary and export marking requirements.
  • Create Software Builds based on Program needs

  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Communicates effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Exhibits sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers, suppliers and auditors.
  • Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports, documents, Product Structures, and Engineering Changes.
  • Ability to learn computer-based tools and systems quickly.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy and fast-paced multi-project environment.
  • Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and schedule
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge of hardware and software configuration management tools, best practices, and industry standards.


  • Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Hands-on experience using Windchill applications.
  • Knowledge in UNIX and Vax commands.
  • Demonstrates functional knowledge of Hardware, Software, and Firmware configuration management tools, best practices, and industry standards.
  • High proficiency using Word and Excel from creating to editing objects.


  • Pay Information
    Full-Time Salary Range: $41200 - $65900

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
