CAD Engineer / Implementer Chantilly VA
Marathon TS is seeking a CAD Engineer / Implementer to support a client based out of the Chantilly VA area. This position requires up to 50% travel and candidates must currently possess an active CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
A day in the life of a CAD Engineer / Implementer:
As a CAD Engineer / Implementer with our client you will be supporting installation, configuration, and testing of Public Safety products and interfaces in an on-premise or cloud hosted Public Safety environment remotely and on-site.
Assignments may include traveling to a customer site to provide onsite support of existing company provided hardware and software systems as well as deploy new systems.

Are passionate about providing solutions to a variety of complex customer problems by utilizing your strengths in troubleshooting and implementations.
You will apply both your technical and functional knowledge in contributing to project delivery by providing your services for a variety of clients in the Public Safety industry.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 2-4 years experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of IT systems (to include installing servers, networking switches, installing monitors and desktop workstations, etc).
- Comfortable working with multiple software and hardware platforms.
- Experience with administering Active Directory
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational database structures
- Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in Public Safety (Fire, EMS, Police) environments is a plus.
What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent applicable experience (preferred).
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification
- Must be able to travel as needed to customer sites.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing as it relates to conveying technical information internally and externally.
- Ability to investigate problems or malfunctions and recommend solutions or corrective actions.
- Shares knowledge and assists others in the completion of their tasks to support team goals.
- Ability to keep abreast of changing software technology.
- Ability to work directly with customers in solving hardware/software problems.
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team with little supervision and guidance.
- Must be willing to work after hours on call approximately every 90 days.
