The Trade Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize brand visibility and drive sales through retail channels. This role involves collaborating with sales, marketing, and retail partners to create effective in-store promotions, merchandising solutions, and trade marketing campaigns that align with the company’s overall brand objectives. The Trade Marketing Specialist will play a key role in ensuring that products are properly positioned to drive market share and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement trade marketing strategies to increase product visibility, sales, and market share in retail environments.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align trade marketing activities with overall brand objectives.
  • Plan and execute in-store promotions, point-of-sale (POS) materials, and merchandising solutions.
  • Manage relationships with retail partners, ensuring proper execution of promotional campaigns and retail initiatives.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement based on performance metrics.
  • Work closely with product management to ensure the proper alignment of product launches with trade marketing strategies.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to adjust trade marketing strategies as needed.
  • Coordinate trade shows, events, and other marketing activities aimed at retailers and distributors.
  • Ensure compliance with branding guidelines across all trade marketing materials.
  • Manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution of campaigns and promotions.
  • Provide regular reports on the performance of trade marketing activities to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in trade marketing, preferably in FMCG, retail, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of retail environments and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with retail partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and trade marketing tools/software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities with a focus on driving results.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in coordinating trade shows, in-store promotions, and merchandising activities.

Preferred:

  • Experience in managing trade marketing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies for retail channels.
