The STANDARD Missile TPO is seeking a Lead Warhead Engineer, who will act as the Technical Design Agents for the Mk 125 Warhead employed in the SM family. - Develop long term TDA role assumption strategy
- Oversee and maintain technical document repository
- Oversee Ordnance Assessment and testing efforts, to ensure system meets lethality requirements
- Work with Fuzing SMEs in order to provide holistic Ordnance System recommendations
- Assess contractor production process changes and process qualification activities, including on-site process reviews
- Conduct Government technical investigations to establish path forward in resolving Warhead production issues
- Lead IM activities
- Participate in contractor investigations and corrective action/process improvement activities
- Review contractor proposed variances, support risk assessments and provide technical rational for the acceptance/rejection of such variances
- Identify and recommend updates to current Mk 125 TDP, and process ECP/NOR for TDP update
- Research, recommend, support potential warhead modernization efforts
- Support energetics reviews and technical interchange meetings.
