Skills Must have

  • Medical device experience is Mandatory!
  • Candidates must be ready for lead usability testing and user research
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in UX design and user research
  • Experience conducting user research, including customer interviews, usability testing, and creating user journey maps.
  • Familiarity with hardware/software integration and the challenges associated with designing for both.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools. The client uses Figma and Miro.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex research findings into actionable design solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and the ability to work closely with development teams to ensure design implementation.
  • Strong proficiency in interaction design, with a solid understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a regulated industry
  • i.e. medical devices, government, aviation, automotive, aerospace, etc.
  • Experience in the medical product industry, including familiarity with IEC 62366-1 (application of usability engineering to medical devices), FDA Human Factors Guidance, and IEC 62304 (software lifecycle processes for medical devices).
  • Familiarity with UI kits and/or design systems and maintaining design consistency across products.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in medical device design.
  • Experience with Jira and Agile methodology.
  • Experience designing for 3D applications or in 3D modeling
