Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Correctional Officer at the Georgia Department of Corrections in Rock Spring, GA. Correctional Officers are responsible for supervising inmates, maintaining security within the facility, conducting training sessions, and enforcing rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Supervisory Skills, Training, and Criminal Justice knowledge
- Strong understanding of Physical Security and Law Enforcement procedures
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle challenging situations
- Experience in a correctional or law enforcement setting is a plus
- Completion of relevant training programs or certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred
