Insurance Verification SpecialistBayMark Health Services is looking for a detail oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to be responsible for the day to day verifications to ensure that patients health care benefits cover required procedures. This position contacts a patients insurance company to verify coverage levels and works with individuals to educate them on their benefits information.

- Utilizes all available resources to obtain and enter insurance coverage information for services into patients file
- Verifies patient insurance coverage of services, checks applicable billing codes, and verifies if state licenser or other accreditation are required for treatment
- Completes a full verification of benefits for all covered services including treatment and ancillary services
- Notifies admissions or facility of any financial responsibility of services provided and requested services that are not provided by the facility
- Conducts audits of all patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy on daily/weekly basis
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one years experience in healthcare insurance verification is preferable.
- Understanding of patient deductibles and coinsurances
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate through payer portals
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects and tasks
- Utilize skills and experience to assist staff and provide feedback for any insurance policy or patient demographic matters
