The Director of Market Success for Affiliate Providers (Western Region) is responsible for managing the performance of NeueHealth's affiliate primary care providers participating in the value-based contracts associated with NeueHealth's Value Services Organization (VSO), which includes Medicare ACOs, Individual and Family Plans (IFP), Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid. Under the direction of the VP of Government Programs and Business Development, the Director is responsible for engaging and retaining physician practices, implementing quality improvement and cost savings initiatives, tracking and managing KPIs by line of business, and ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements are met. Relationship management with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, practice managers, care managers, and payors is a fundamental function of this role.

The Director will serve as a key member of the leadership team responsible for driving progress towards quality and cost goals and the overall profitability of each contract. This is a high visibility role that offers significant responsibility with opportunity for career growth.

This is a work from home position based in the San Francisco Bay Area with travel throughout the market as needed.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day leadership and performance management of affiliated practices.
  • Implements an engagement strategy to build, grow, and sustain relationships with physician leaders, and leveraging practice relationships to engage, implement, and sustain ACO/VSO priorities
  • Conducts analyses, identifying areas of opportunity, implementing process improvement and best practices, and providing recommendations to Market Performance and Operations leadership
  • Analyzes data to develop focused performance improvement initiatives; measuring progress and outcomes, as well as helping implement interventions where applicable
  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders using project plans, status reports, and dashboards to manage cost and quality contract performance
  • Plans and facilitates internal and external stakeholder meetings using standard meeting management tools e.g. agendas, meeting roles, ground rules, minutes, action item tracking) including support of meeting logistics for JOCs, ACO Governing Bodies, and committees.
  • In collaboration with the NeueHealth ACO and analytics teams, facilitates clinical data acquisition, reporting, and workflow development in support of quality measure and risk adjustment and coding improvement.
  • Develops a deep understanding of regional stakeholder needs, regional healthcare landscape and strategic market intelligence to guide operational and growth strategy, deploy initiatives, and identify the operational drivers of success
  • Collaborates with ACO team members and local medical directors/physician champions to ensure progress towards ACO, regional network, practice, and provider improvement goals
  • Responsible for the proactive and reactive regulatory management of all applicable programs and policies related to payer programs enrolled or evaluating.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position may oversee a team of one or more Market Success managers and/or associates in the region

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree Preferred
  • Consulting and strategy experience a plus
  • 8+ years of related experience working with value-based primary care groups and a proven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing customer relationships and communicating effectively with senior management.
  • Significant experience working with ACOs and primary care medical groups in deploying their shift to value-based care
  • Strong understanding of and familiarity with the relevant market players and the payer and healthcare landscape

For individuals assigned to a location(s) in California, NeueHealth is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity. A reasonable estimate of the range is $143,000-$214,000 Annually.
