Job description

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for all general marketing and administrative activities as directed by the CGO / Preconstruction department. This individual will be responsible for creating all marketing and business development collateral in addition to assembly and printing of all printed proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Packages: Oversee the entire proposal lifecycle, from defining RFQ requirements to managing deliverables and ensuring timely submissions. Print, bind, and package bid documents for physical submissions.
  • Brand Management: Shape and maintain our company’s brand identity, ensuring consistency and alignment across all channels and materials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Preconstruction Assistant and Estimating to enhance proposal packages and ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Content Creation and Social Media Management: Develop engaging content for our website, social media platforms, newsletters, and marketing materials. Create, schedule, and analyze social media posts to captivate our audience, elevate brand presence, and drive growth through strategic engagement.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Design and execute impactful marketing campaigns, both external and internal, to enhance our brand and communicate effectively with our team and clients.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute exciting events such as trade shows, recruiting events, customer appreciation days and internal events. Assist with business development events to foster relationships and drive growth.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the marketing budget, ensuring all activities are cost-effective.
  • Write and edit content for resumes, project sheets, award submissions, company newsletters, and other marketing materials.
  • Support key pursuits with compelling proposal content that aligns with Millis’ objectives and value propositions.
  • Website management, continued updates, blogs, content creation
  • Internal communication.
  • Maintain inventory of marketing supplies and pre-printed assets, ensuring we’re always well-stocked.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Creative Writing, a technical AEC related field or equivalent experience (min. 6+ years)
  • Punctual, persistent, tactful, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of organization.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems.
  • Previous experience with construction-related proposals is a plus.
  • Strong time management skills, balancing short-term deadlines with long-term goals.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate a creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability for occasional travel

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
