Pay Range: $45 - $50/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location). Key Responsibilities:
- Provides User Experience (UX) consulting services on one or more clients digital products.
- Leads UX project teams to define and document site architecture, navigation elements, visual design, content strategy, user flows, and propose best practices based on a deep understanding of customer needs.
- Recommends solutions that balance those customer needs with business viability and technical feasibility to provide an exceptional user experience.
- Provides UX direction to project teams.
- Defines scope and objectives based on user needs and understanding of applicable business goals and technical requirements.
- Consults on and lead user experience analysis and needs assessments, aligning solutions with business goals and initiatives.
- Works with content writers, designers, developers, business partners, and researchers to define functionality, organization, and navigation solutions, and participates in research efforts to identify user goals and tasks.
- Recommends solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology and exceptional user experiences to provide market differentiation and efficiency improvements.
- Maps out how the site will accommodate change and growth over time. Participates in overall UX project management, time estimates and resource scheduling.
- Research emerging trends to maintain an in-depth understanding of user experience. Works with the UX team to develop and document methodologies, standards and best practices. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills;Digital products designer, UX Interaction Design and Architecture.
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Experience: Typically, 8 or more years of professional experience in the digital space practicing user centered design processes.
- Master s degree may be substituted for experience as appropriate.
- Knowledge: Digital product development, thorough knowledge of user experiences principles, solid understanding of design and content for digital properties. Knowledge of digital best practices and UX research. principles.
- Skills/Competencies:
- Command of all skills necessary for verbal and written communications.
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and external factors that may influence or have an impact on the company, as well as the customers, distribution systems, operations, and the strategic planning process.
- Proven ability to set work priorities that conform with established objectives, timeframes and accomplish a task in the most effective manner. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (i.e. engineers, product managers, designers, business leaders, etc.).
- Proven ability to manage projects and define administrative methods and procedures to attain objectives.
- Ability to maintain working knowledge and/or expertise in work related software programs, insurance/business concepts and assigned line of business as well as marketing and strategic planning concepts.
