  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Title:GIS Web Application Developer Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled GIS Web Application Developer with 4-8 years of experience in designing and delivering GIS-based web applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in GIS development using JavaScript APIs, ESRI GIS software, and spatial data analysis. They must have a solid technical background in GIS application development, with the ability to perform complex analyses and build GIS tools and applications to support spatial data management and mapping needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and deliver web applications with a focus on GIS mapping and spatial data analysis.
  • Develop web-based GIS applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript or other JavaScript mapping APIs.
  • Work independently to design and implement GIS tools and perform complex spatial data analyses.
  • Create and maintain multi-layered maps and web applications using the ESRI GIS software suite (ArcGIS 10.x), including ArcSDE and ArcGIS Enterprise (server, portal, web adaptors, data stores).
  • Maintain and develop Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) and other GIS applications to support spatial data management.
  • Communicate technical GIS concepts to non-technical stakeholders through presentations and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and requirements.
  • Perform database extraction, analysis, and manipulation using SQL-based tools, preferably Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Conduct quality checks and debugging processes to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of GIS applications and tools.
Required Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of experience in GIS and GIS application development.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and delivering web applications, preferably with a focus on GIS.
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS API for JavaScript or other JavaScript mapping APIs.
  • Extensive experience with ESRI GIS software suite (ArcGIS 10.x) including ArcSDE and ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical users.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex GIS projects and analyses.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Linear Referencing Systems (LRS).
  • Familiarity with scripting, automation, and spatial data management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in SQL databases, especially Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Prior experience working with LRS and knowledge of ESRI Roads & Highways or similar systems.
  • Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools for visualizing and analyzing spatial data.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git, and understanding of DevOps practices is a plus.
Desired Skills:
  • Strong understanding of spatial data analysis and its application in various industries (e.g., transportation, utilities, urban planning).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based GIS solutions, such as ArcGIS Online and Web GIS platforms.
  • Experience integrating GIS applications with third-party APIs and RESTful services.
