Technology Senior Consultant - State and Local Government

What You Will Do :
  • Support the oversight, assessment, and project management efforts on state and local government technology projects.
  • Assist in the management of IT client engagements, including project plans, scope and budget definition, resource allocation, and product delivery.
  • Coordinate project timelines with clients and internal teams, helping to generate estimates for project complexity and duration.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for client communications, helping manage developer/client interactions.
  • Provide guidance to team members on project execution and client management skills within State and Local Government.
  • Support the management of client relationships and expectations throughout the project lifecycle, building confidence and delivering excellent service.
  • Assist with technical oversight of the project, providing input and guidance to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Help monitor the scope, schedule, and budget of technology projects, ensuring adherence to client requirements and timelines.
  • Identify and address risks and issues, collaborating with stakeholders to keep the project on track.
  • Contribute to practice development by assisting in the creation and growth of service offerings and authoring thought leadership material.
  • Engage in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposal development.


What You Will Need :
  • Bachelor's degree with a MINIMUM of THREE (3) years of technology consulting experience OR a Master's degree and a MINIMUM of ONE (1) year of technology consulting experience; years of experience can be substituted for a formal degree
  • A MINIMUM of TWO (2) years in a lead or client-facing role on technology projects
  • A MINIMUM of THREE (3) years of overall IT industry experience
  • Ability to reside in Sacramento or the surrounding, commutable areas
  • This role is a hybrid role which will require you to go into the closest Guidehouse Office as needed or on occasion

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
