As the Senior Financial Planning Analyst, you will manage the financial planning, reporting and analysis for the Nursing Practice and Lippincott Solutions businesses within the Health Division of Wolters Kluwer. This role will be focused heavily on revenue, forecasting and sales analysis across the business as well as identifying opportunities that drive growth. You need to be a self-starter and work with limited direction while taking full ownership of their areas of responsibility. You will be expected to problem solve, recommend solutions, present financial results, and exercise good business judgement.

You will report to the Associate Director, Financial Planning, and work in a hybrid role which requires two days in our Philadelphia, PA office and three days from your remote home office.

Responsibilities include:
  • Partnering with Finance, Product and Sales team members to develop forecasts and ensure collaboration and coordination with key stakeholders.
  • Anticipate opportunities and risks in the forecasts and effectively communicate them.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports to management of financial performance and trends.
  • Provide quantitative-based recommendations that support revenue growth targets.
  • Monitor and analyze results against budget and provide insightful and actionable variance explanations.
  • Support and partner with other teams in planning, measuring, reporting and improving performance of operations and reducing cost where necessary.
  • Participate in cross functional teams and projects.
  • Develop standard and custom business cases to support new product development.
  • Leverage technology to link disparate data sources and deliver timely, accurate reporting to business partners.
  • Ad-hoc projects supporting different business initiatives including product profitability modeling and analysis.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Finance or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • MBA and/or CPA, preferred.
  • Advanced Excel Knowledge.

Required Experience:
  • 5+ years' experience in broad based financial related positions or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work well in a team and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with ERP Financial software such as Great Plains, SAP, Essbase/Hyperion, or Tagetik.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling.
  • Experience in FP&A, finance management, data analytics or consulting.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with advance knowledge of Excel
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to think strategically.
  • Exceptional organization skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
