Overview

As a New Relic Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of New Relic products and solutions within our customer base. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and understanding of application performance management to design, implement, and optimize New Relic solutions that deliver maximum value to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Design and Implementation:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive New Relic solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our customers, considering their on-premises, cloud, or hybrid cloud environments.
    • Provide end-to-end execution of New Relic solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing customer infrastructures.
    • Extract maximum value from New Relic by identifying and implementing best practices and optimization techniques.
  • Customer Engagement and Presentations:
    • Effectively present and demonstrate the capabilities of New Relic Application Performance Management to prospective clients.
    • Understand customer challenges and collaborate with vendors to develop customized solutions when required.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Possess a deep understanding of application architecture and demonstrate strong RCA skills.
    • Have hands-on experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and both SOAP and REST-based architectures.
    • Be proficient in creating alerts and incidents.
    • Collaborate with the team to continuously improve APM processes and tools.
  • Performance Measurement and Optimization:
    • Develop and own key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that performance is aligned with expected business outcomes.
    • Monitor and optimize New Relic solutions to deliver optimal performance and value.
  • Technical Skills:
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with New Relic Query Language (NRQL).
    • Knowledge of planning, designing, and maintaining applications utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Nginx, Linux, New Relic, and Data Dog.
    • Expertise in enterprise monitoring, including APM, synthetic monitoring, browser monitoring, and log monitoring.
    • Experience in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Infrastructure Monitoring for various hybrid business applications and infrastructure.
    • Proficiency in creating health and performance reports, developing AIOps rules, creating alerts, and creating custom dashboards.
    • Experience in creating workloads and user onboarding.
    • Effective operational support of different enterprise monitoring tools.
    • Ability to assist application support teams in developing and deploying effective monitoring profiles.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in application performance management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and optimizing New Relic solutions.
  • Deep understanding of application architecture, networking, and cloud technologies.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in NRQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Nginx, Linux, and various monitoring tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
