Amatheon Animal Health is a pharmaceutical wholesaler and trusted resource to thousands of veterinarians and veterinary hospitals nationwide. Our Compliance Team is responsible for navigating the complex regulations of agencies like the FDA, DEA and Boards of Pharmacy from all 50 states.

Amatheon is hiring a Compliance Assistant for our Miami office. This role is geared toward someone who is looking to begin a career in pharmaceutical compliance and operations. We are rapidly growing and looking for someone who is detail orientated, can multitask, and has strong critical thinking skills.

This position involves maintaining compliance databases and providing compliance reports for assigned accounts and corporate groups. This role also includes designing improvements for process compliance, identifying processes that are out of compliance, and implementing changes that will resolve any issues.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain Compliance records and documents, including filings and documentation records ensuring they are complete and “audit-proof”.
  • Assist in opening and maintaining hospital accounts per standard checklist.
  • Collect, verify and organize DVM, DEA and HCCE licenses in database.
  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reporting. Submit monthly evaluation spreadsheets to manager.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and requests promptly, stays current with e-mail and voicemail, and assist with coverage for entire customer base.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Audit and verify daily pharmaceutical orders with warehouse team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least two years related business experience or equivalent.
  • Associate Arts (AA) degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards of compliance in a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Flexible with the ability to work with very tight deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means at all organizational levels both within and outside the organization.
  • Proficient in NetSuite/Oracle CRM a plus.
