Annual Wage Range: $80,712.80 - $110,980.10

Other Compensation: Eligibility for the Short-Term Incentive program and other applicable bonuses

We’re hiring a Plant Engineer for our Aiken, SC manufacturing site where we mine and process kaolin clay.

As the Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining all plant equipment in a manner that allows production to maximize its usage by updating and monitoring effective preventive and predictive maintenance techniques. There may be minimal overtime (nights, weekend) required to address ad-hoc issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital and maintenance projects. Responsibilities include, safety, scope development, planning/scheduling, engineering, procurement, budgeting, field construction management and start-up.
• Provide Technical support as needed to the maintenance department in solving routine maintenance issues.
• Evaluate and implement improvements through MOC (Management of Change) and capital processes.
• Provide input into and operate within site’s maintenance budget.
• Lead root cause analysis studies to identify sources of failures and downtime, and associated CA/PA (Corrective Action/Preventative Action) follow-up activities.
• Develop and implement equipment demolition and removal strategy.
• Develop/update drawings as needed.
• Evaluate and implement improvements to mechanical integrity inspection, testing, and PM programs. Develop and monitor reliability metrics to drive improvements.
• Coordinate activities to be completed by Maintenance and contract personnel.
  
  

Physical Requirements And Environment

• Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
• Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator
  
  

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience working in a manufacturing plant.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment (leading and participating).
• Ability to analyze data and translate into making decisions and executing solutions.
• Proficient in an ERP, SAP highly preferred.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance and/or capital project management experience.
• Experience with SAP’s Maintenance Management module.
