JOB SUMMARY

Textron is looking for individuals interested in pursuing rewarding and challenging opportunities.This is an exciting opportunity to join the Textron infrastructure team as an Infrastructure Analyst.We are looking for a talented candidate that can effectively support Textron's current Midrange and Collaboration environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the lead midrange architect responsible for designing and implementing server, storage, and messaging solutions.
• Process end-user requests for provisioning and modifying mailboxes, distribution lists, and permissions.
• Participate in implementing global email and other collaboration solutions such as MS Exchange, MS Skype for Business, MS O365, and mobile messaging and device management systems.
• Cross-train with other team members in day-to-day team operations.
• Enforce standards for system architecture in close collaboration with application owners, developers, end-users and stakeholders.
• Implement solutions in keeping with long-term strategic plan for midrange system management and platform maturity, including automation through scripting and coding, virtualization, business continuity/disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
• Develop and document processes and procedures to be used by all responsible parties in system deployment, maintenance, and administration activities in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and recommended practices.
• Direct and audit third-party support activities for adherence to company policies, procedures, and architecture standards.
• Assist with the design and implementation of availability, data protection, and system integrity strategies.Monitor to ensure these objectives are met and escalate exceptions through to resolution.
• Plan and coordinate upgrades, data migrations, system refreshes, etc.
• Perform incident response, troubleshooting, and remediation activities during outages or periods of performance degradation.
• Participate in change management processes for planned activities that might impact midrange system availability or performance.
• Server management for a limited scope of internally managed systems (such as Windows, UNIX, Linux, etc.)
• Appliance management for a limited scope of internally managed appliances (such as ODA, Storage, Riverbed, etc.)
• Hypervisor management for a limited scope of internally managed host systems (such as VMware, Hyper-V, VIO, etc.)

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field
• Relevant internship experience preferred

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

• PowerShell and/or comparable scripting.
• Software Development/coding.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written are required.
• The candidate must possess good organizational and time management skills.
• The ideal employee will be highly self-motivated and directed.
