Microsoft Gaming is growing strong with hundreds of millions of players who are active on some of the best-known brands in the world ! We are looking for a General Manager, Gaming Information Technology, to lead our efforts bringing together our teams and technology solutions to support the evolution and growth of the Gaming business , and our player base into the future . This role will report directly to the Microsoft Gaming Chief Operati ons Officer (COO).

The General Manager, Gaming Information Technology, is responsible for leading the design, development and e xecution of the overall information technology (IT) strategy and deploying IT initiatives that align with Microsoft Gaming's mission. This includes building the IT roadmap, standardization of solutions, promoting technology use throughout the organization, and fostering a culture of collaboration. This leader plays a key role in steering the organization through digital transformation, modernization of tooling, platforms, capability enhancements, and leveraging technology to further the mission. Additionally, this role has direct accountability for ensuring compliance, protecting Gaming's assets and data by maturing the IT program. They lead and oversee the infrastructure and service delivery for our Gaming network environment(s) , with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence . The Gaming organization will look to this leader to identify appropriate investment in new technologies to streamline operations, and i nvestments while continuing to improve service delivery for employees.

The General Manager, Gaming Information Technology candidate, aside from having a passion for information technology , will have collaboration skills and technical expertise to work across the breadth of c orporate IT, d ata c enter, h ardware, p latform , and g ame d evelopment environments that exist in the business. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Business, Engineering, Math, or related field AND 12 + years product/service/project/program management, software development, or engineering experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science , Business, Engineering, Math, or related field AND 10+ years product/service/project/program management, software development, or engineering experience
    • OR equivalent experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Business, Engineering, Math, or related field AND 14+ years product/service/project/program management, software development, or engineering experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science , Business, Engineering, Math, or related field AND 12+ years product/service/project/program management, software development, or engineering experience
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years people management experience.
  • 10+ years experience working with cross-team stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  • 7+ years experience in a specialized technical product, solution, or service area.
  • E xperience managing large vendor multi-year contracts and operating entities.
  • Ability to successfully influence across a highly matrixed set of stakeholders to achieve objectives .
  • Experience successfully managing high volume technical service delivery across a distributed portfolio.
  • Strong working knowledge of physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling, etc.).
  • Knowledge of critical environment concepts and infrastructure (e.g., Electrical Distribution, Mechanical Cooling Systems, etc.).
  • A solid understanding of financial management , budgeting, and forecasting.
    Awareness of IT Service Operations fundamentals and principles (ITIL, MOF, OLA/SLA, CSI, etc.).
  • Project or program management experience and certification(s) (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, PMI, etc.).
  • Experience within the gaming or entertainment industry


Engineering General Management M7 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $204,600 - $331,900 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $225,600 - $364,800 per year.

IT Operations and Execution
  • Responsible for ensuring the planning and delivery of Gaming's internal network environment , logistics , and the resources required to meet anticipated growth .

  • Ensure financial management of your business including the development of detailed budgets, forecasts, and management of operational and capital spending.
  • Management and oversight of all vendor/partner contracts and relationships including leased-facility landlords, IT and CE service providers, partner support teams , and being a driving force for vendor standardization across the division.
