Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Technician to join our team in the construction industry. You will be responsible for creating and modifying drawings of our construction projects, which often encompass structures like schools, auto dealerships, and commercial buildings. Your expertise in AutoCAD will be essential for creating accurate technical drawings and ensuring that our architectural products are manufactured with precision and efficiency. Collaborate with our construction team as well as other professionals in every stage of each project and will simultaneously work on multiple projects, each with different deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Use AutoCAD software to prepare both 2D and 3D architectural drawings and plans
  • Create AutoCAD drawing files for our projects
  • Interpret architectural drawings and convert them into precise CNC programs using AutoCAD
  • Review sketches and plans and generate 2D and 3D design concepts
  • Collaborate with architects and project managers to ensure alignment of design intent and production capabilities
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project managers and clients
  • Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and standards
  • Maintain organized digital files and documentation of drawings and revisions
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in AutoCAD technology

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or certification in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field
  • At least (2) years of experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks, and other relevant CAD software
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of architectural terminology and construction methods
  • Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications
  • Time management skills to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Advanced mathematical skills
