The Head of Leadership and Pipelining at SAP will spearhead the creation and implementation of an innovative Leadership Development Framework. This role is pivotal in shaping the leadership culture, fostering behaviors aligned with SAP's Leadership Credo, and ensuring a robust succession pipeline for critical roles. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of leadership development and succession planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Leadership Development Framework:

  • Define and continuously refine a comprehensive Leadership Development Framework tailored to SAP's unique culture and strategic objectives.


  • Embed SAP's Leadership Credo, vision, culture, strategic priorities and desired behaviors into this framework to cultivate a consistent and effective leadership style across the organization.


  • Enable leaders and equip them with the right skills and behaviors to drive change.


2. End-to-End Leadership Development Landscape:

  • Design and steer the end-to-end landscape for leadership development, ensuring a cohesive approach to programs and initiatives.


  • Oversee the execution of leadership development programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and measurable outcomes.


  • Continue to identify and develop the next generation of leaders.


3. Pipelining Management:

  • Lead the definition and implementation of a robust succession management strategy.


  • Identify critical roles within the organization and develop succession plans to ensure a continuous pipeline of qualified candidates.


  • Nominate and assess candidates for critical roles, measuring their readiness and selecting the best-suited individuals.


4. Coaching and Development:

  • Ensure the availability of diverse coaching offerings, including career development counselling, team counselling, and talent- and executive coaching.


  • Measure the impact of coaching initiatives, ensuring they contribute to the overall development and performance of SAP's leadership.


5. Strategic Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and HR partners to align leadership development and succession planning with business needs.


  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team on leadership and succession matters.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in leadership development, succession planning, and coaching at an executive level.


  • Strong understanding of SAP's culture, values, and strategic direction.


  • Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.


  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders.


  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to measure and demonstrate the impact of development initiatives.


KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Strategic Vision: Ability to envision and implement long-term strategies for leadership development and succession planning.


  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of driving organizational change and development.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 00(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
