Responsibilities

  • Support Production and Engineering teams on mechanical systems and electronics in a high-speed manufacturing environment
  • Load, unload and perform QC checks of production material produced by automated equipment
  • Proactively identify manufacturing problems, perform diagnostic testing, troubleshoot, and report findings to minimize downtime and scrap
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations of manufacturing equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory of replacement parts to minimize downtime
  • Ensure timely completion of changeovers and repairs on equipment
  • Perform periodic visual and mechanical inspections and preventative maintenance as assigned by Production Supervisor, Engineering Supervisor, Quality Assurance or Equipment Director
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering in implementation of new production lines
  • Maintain records of repairs, adjustments, inspections, and Overall Equipment Efficiency
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and minimize production downtime
  • Maximize uptime and uphold 90% or greater Overall Equipment Efficiency
  • Fully comprehends manuals, SOPs, JIs, and engineering designs while periodically helping write and develop standard operating procedures with Engineering.
  • Writes and develops SOPs and JIs with engineering support as required
  • Maintain a professional demeanor to include being cordial with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude even in very difficult situations.
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Adhere to production plan timeline and quantities as assigned by Production Supervisor or Director of Manufacturing
  • Masters required new software and programs to meet Quality Assurance Manual requirements and Production efficiency needs.
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder
  • Must pass initial and subsequent background checks
  • Must pass preemployment and subsequent drug screenings
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain eligibility to drive fleet
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, decimals, fractions)
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives “Employee Possessor” eligibility
  • Must be able to work in an environment containing devices that may interfere with the operation of a pacemaker
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test within 30 days
  • Ability to obtain confined space certification within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to obtain forklift operator certification via Valor’s within 30 days of employment

Physical Requirements

  • RARE (less than 10%): crawling, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs., push, pull, climb stairs
  • OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reaching, range-of-motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing, use of hand tools (manual or power).
  • FREQUENT (up to 66%): walking, sitting, reading, lifting up to 10 lbs., gripping
  • CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): speaking clearly, seeing distant, seeing, hearing-speech-range, color vision, depth-perception.

This is a 2nd Shift position. Work hours are: Monday - Thursday, 3:15 p.m. - 1:45 a.m. Position will have a $3/hour Shift Differential on top of the hourly wage.
