About This Role

The Operations Graduate Program (OGP) at Volvo Group Trucks Operations (GTO) is a 15-month program program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use your knowledge and creative skills while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business topics.

The Volvo Group North America Operations Graduate Program (OGP) does not offer current or future sponsorship. Individuals with temporary visas or who require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for the program.

Minimum Education Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, data science or engineering-related field

Who are we?

Our motivated and highly competent manufacturing engineering team optimizes our assembly processes on different parameters such as safety, ergonomy and efficiency. Working closely together with the operators, other functional engineers, tooling engineers and line management they work out the most effective solutions for all the challenges in the assembly process a big plant like ours faces: rebalancing, product changes, bring new technologies and so on.

We are a deliberately collaborative team of about 90 Managers, Project Managers and Engineers, working with other teams both inside and outside of the Lehigh Valley plant. We are part of the connected global team of manufacturing professionals across the Volvo Group world leveraging the best ideas and proven solutions. We challenge each other and strive for continuous improvement while maintaining a balance by working hard and having fun. We get stuff done. We are in the mid of the journey of the biggest transformation since the existence of the plant, called Mack Reborn, turning the corner and developing new systems, processes and tools for implementation by our operations team to improve plant performance, customer excellence and assuring a future for Mack and our families. What You Will Do

You will also be developing the Manufacturing Technologies of the future in relation with Volvo Group ambition in emerging technology. You will support the Manufacturing Engineering Technology development team to develop there roadmap and technology transformation. In that perspective, you will prepare the implementation of the Product and Process changes with the operational teams in the plants and you will interact with Volvo Group Design departments.

And eventually, you will participate in our journey to reach Excellence by developing the Mack Production System in the Engineering environment. You are expected to think out of the box to bring moon shot ideas to benefit to bring business values through innovation and technology.

Who are you?

  • Preferably: Relevant experience or course work in Data Analytics, Data Management
  • Maximum two years of previous working experience, prior to or after graduation.
  • Solid English skills
  • To be a communicative team player with the ambition to develop both yourself and the business that you are working in
  • Growth Mindset , Flexible , Positive attitude , Energetic, self motivated
