Department Information
The Office of Commercialization supports and empowers faculty, researchers, students, and doctoral students in launching successful startups while actively encouraging and facilitating broader entrepreneurial opportunities and commercialization efforts. The Program Manager will support both VentureLab and Quadrant-i, two key units (programs) within the Office of Commercialization portfolio.
Job Summary
Oversee large programs with a cross-functional nature, manage projects throughout their life-cycle, ensure accurate and timely reporting and budget requirements.
This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Faculty, staff, students and external stakeholders
This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty, staff, students and external stakeholders
This position will supervise: Assigned staff
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Serve as the program's main point of contact for internal stakeholders, faculty and students; serve as liaison to appropriate campus business units, working to resolve operational matters; Liaise with key points of contact within the center's ecosystem
Job Duty 2 -
Develop and implement operating and administrative processes to manage day-to-day business operations consistent with Institute policies; define and communicate administrative staff duties; monitor performance and provide feedback. Manage HR functions for the team: hiring, immigration requirements, time keeping, goals and reviews.
Job Duty 3 -
Implement and execute communications strategy to include center-wide tools such as Slack, websites, landing pages, Sharepoint, Teams, AWS, regularly scheduled meetings, etc.
Job Duty 4 -
Ensure proper logistics, procedures, and support are in place for successful operation of programs; conduct administrative activities associated with program operations such as procurement, records maintenance, compliance, NDAs, meeting arrangements and minutes, and document preparation
Job Duty 5 -
Collect, verify, analyze data and communicate results; Prepare various reports and data submissions, as necessary
Job Duty 6 -
Develop and maintain relationships advisory boards and stakeholder groups; participate in strategic planning and ensure implementation of key objectives and milestones.
Job Duty 7 -
Manage preparation of financial-related reports and schedules; Coordinate unit budget preparation, monitor and prepare related reports
Job Duty 8 -
Provide executive administrative management; manage activities to ensure a well-executed, highly complex schedule of daily activities; serve as primary scheduling contact with the campus and external community.

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Six to eight years of job-related experience
