The Cliffs Notes
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support and maintain our company s IT infrastructure, ensuring the effective and secure operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to take initiative in driving improvements and optimizing IT systems.

What you ll own:

  • System Administration: Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and patch management for both Windows and Linux environments. Oversee virtualization technologies and database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Provide comprehensive support throughout the end-user system lifecycle.
  • IT Infrastructure Management: Maintain, monitor, and optimize IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud services. Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of all systems.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce IT security measures, including the management of firewalls, security software, logging, and data encryption technologies. Ensure systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Technical Support: Provide support for IT issues, working to resolve complex technical problems. Document processes and create knowledge base articles to improve support efficiency.
  • Remote Support: Must be capable of providing remote support to a diverse range of end users across various regions and time zones.
  • Project Implementation: Play an active role in the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring they meet technical requirements and are delivered on time. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new systems and upgrades.
  • Networking & Cloud Services: Manage and optimize networking equipment and cloud services (Azure or AWS), ensuring seamless integration with on-premises systems. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Requirements:

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong track record in managing IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), networking, and cloud services (Azure or AWS). Strong knowledge of Office 365 and Entra ID.
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel to Phoenix as needed to manage physical servers.
  • Experience with the following technologies is a plus: Dell VxRail, SonicWall Firewalls, Arctic Wolf, VPN tunnel creation, Microsoft Intune
  • Certifications in the following systems are a plus: Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, CompTIA, Security

The Team

In this role, you would be a part of the Information Technology team and reporting to our Director, IT.

Office Expectation

This role is HYBRID, with an expectation of 3 days a week in-office. Our hours are 8-5pm.
