Data Visualization Developer

Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC (2 days in office/week)

9-month contract with opportunity for extension or full-time conversion

W-2 only (cannot accommodate Corp-to-Corp or 1099)

Brooksource is searching for an experienced Data Visualization Developer to join our Fortune 500 Energy & Utilities client s data efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming complex datasets into interactive, insightful, and visually engaging dashboards and reports. Expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data analytics will be key in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. A strong consulting background, particularly in understanding client needs and delivering tailored data solutions, that will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, visualizing key performance metrics and trends.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights through data visualization.

Leverage Power Apps and Power Automate to automate workflows, streamline data processes, and enhance user experience.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and analysis.

Perform data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements.

Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in data visualization and analytics.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing data visualization solutions with a strong emphasis on Power BI.

Expertise in Power BI and SQL is required, including the ability to write advanced queries and create high-impact visualizations.

Proficiency in Power Apps and Power Automate is highly desirable.

Previous experience or understanding of Accounts Receivable and Billing processes is strongly preferred.

A background in consulting is a big plus, particularly in gathering requirements, managing client expectations, and delivering tailored solutions.

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and work both independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.

Experience with AWS and Python is highly desirable
