We have partnered with a Consulting Engineers for the Utility Industries company in the Raleigh, NC area to provide them with a Project Engineer III – Substation /Relaying /Generation. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Project Engineer III – Substation /Relaying /Generation:

#1. B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required.

#2. Five to ten years of applicable experience required.

#3. Licensed Professional Engineer.

Requirements For The Project Engineer III – Substation /Relaying /Generation
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
  • Ability to mentor and oversee the work of junior engineers, designers, and CAD operators on the assigned team.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients to manage ongoing projects, ensure customer satisfaction, and handle future business and upcoming project plans.
  • Expertise in various aspects of substation engineering, including physical layout design, protection and control design, relay settings programming, field support, substation commissioning, and relay testing.
  • Responsible for and/or oversee project design activities, including performing engineering calculations, utilizing design software, and referring to relevant engineering procedures and manuals.
  • Prepare and review complex project documents, such as specifications and bid documents.
  • Conduct and direct detailed drawing reviews, ensuring plans are accurate, clear, and effectively represent the design intent.
  • Supervise and assist in the training of Project Engineers I and II.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
