  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Summary

The right candidate's primary responsibility as a drafter is to aid in the overall production aspect of projects from design development to construction document produc­tion and submittal of drawings and plans. The job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the production of new and modification of existing architectural drawings such as floor plans, sections, details, elevations, site plans, perspectives, etc. Drafters will have extensive responsibilities utilizing Revit and AutoCAD on projects and must have sound working knowledge of recent versions of this program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Creation of construction drawing plan sets
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
  • Ability to produce or modify existing architectural drawings and plans with minimal supervision
  • Experience doing redlines or setting up jobs pulling from other projects to create libraries is a plus
  • Knowledge of how to read blueprints and good spatial/visualization skills is a must
  • Ideal candidates will have drafting experience pertaining to residential buildings

Required Qualifications

  • Revit: 5 years (Preferred)
  • AutoCAD: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Proficient in Sketchup and Adobe programs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated strong managerial and leadership background, providing a successful record of setting, establishing, and meeting goals
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills by using persistence and the ability to overcome obstacles

Other Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the home building industry is required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
