Benjamin Moore is seeking an experienced DBA to join our team. As a DBA you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server, SQL Anywhere, Sybase and SQL Server with Access Frontend Systems - position located in Flanders, New Jersey.




Responsibilities:



  • Installation, Configuration, Patching and maintenance of SQL Server 2016 and above and related software products

  • Creation and Response to ServiceNow tickets.

  • Develop and implement Archiving, backup and recovery strategies.

  • Responsible for database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, high-availability strategies with SQL Server 2016 and above in a 24x7x365 production environment.

  • Interact with application owners/developers and/or IT Technical Staff members.

  • Maintenance of all supported servers.

  • Ability to complete tasks and produce appropriate deliverables within project time schedules.

  • Must be organized, self-motivated and be able to participate in the knowledge transfer to other team members.

  • Participation in Mock Disaster Recovery drills.

  • Required availability for rotational after hour support.




Skills/Experience Required:



  • 5 + Years SQL Server experience installing and configuring and maintenance of SQL Server 2016 and above.



  • Experience with Access frontend with linked tables in SQL Server.

  • Experience with SQL Anywhere.

  • Experience with Sybase 16 and above.

  • Experence with linked Servers.

  • Experience with Databases in Windows and Linux environments.

  • Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system.

  • Maintain and support multiple Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and above environments.

  • Strong user knowledge of the Windows 2016 and above platforms.

  • Develop and implement archiving, backup, and recovery strategies.

  • Must be team oriented with excellent written and verbal communication as well as organizational skills.

  • Experience working in a Production, TEST/Staging and Development Environments.

  • Willing to learn new skills, cross train and knowledge transfer a must.

  • Install, Maintain, Migrate and Troubleshoot SQL Server Reporting Services.

  • Proficient with security infrastructure of SQL Server.

  • Proficiency in SQL.

  • Strong understanding of Query optimization options and techniques.

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of creating, deploying and troubleshooting SSIS/DTS packages.



Educational Requirements:



  • BS in Computer Science or Equivalent Experience.
