IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

Our client is looking for a Data Scientist to provide presentations, reports, statistics, metrics, and analysis of services provided by Network Services. The role will receive, process, present data and information.

Tasks:

• Extrapolate datasets from Service Desk Support Team and prepare using appropriate algorithm tools.
• Obtain and report data analysis of datasets.
• Facilitate meetings to discuss data analysis of workloads and projects.

NOTE: Local candidates (strongly preferred) or non-local (must be willing to relocate at their own expense from acceptance with no delays). Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. An on-site interview may be required for the 2^nd round.

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid 2 days/week on-site)

Skills Required:

• Experience with collecting data, exploring it, repairing it
• Experience training a model on the data
• Experience evaluating the model of performance and be able to improve it
• Experience with understanding CRISP-DM process model
• Experience / ability to follow the steps for a data mining project (Business Understanding, Data Understanding, Data Preparation, Modeling, Evaluation, Deployment)
• Experience working with multiple agencies and/or vendors and/or departments in an enterprise environment
• 1-3 years - Experience with PBI, R, IBM SPSS, and/or Tableau
• 3-5 years - Experience with Microsoft Project and Excel
• 3-5 years - Experience with Remedy/Helix
• 3-5 years - Experience in a large Enterprise setting
• 3-5 years - Experience working with multiple network lines of service
• 5+ years - Experience dealing with customers
• Bachelor s Degree

Skills Desired A plus to have:

• 2-3 years - Experience with DevOps
• 3-5 years - Experience working within a Telecommunications environment
• 3-5 years - Experience with multiple network platforms
