Description:

A UX Designer to create intuitive and engaging user experiences

for an internal data security service. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user-centered

design principles and the ability to translate complex requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and

visual designs. This person will work closely with product, engineering, and UX research to ensure that

design decisions are aligned with user needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

* Design intuitive user interfaces and experiences for a security web application with considerations for the

corresponding CLI and API.

* Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, project managers,

and researchers.

* Validate design decisions including user research and usability tests.

* Present methods, explorations, and rationale along with a recommendation to your team.

* Iterate on designs based on feedback from users and stakeholders.

* Ensure that all designs follow accessibility and usability best practices.

* Advocate for users and ensure that product decisions align with user needs.

Qualifications:

The candidate should have:

* Proven experience as a UX designer with a strong portfolio showcasing design projects.

* Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and accessibility standards.

* Experience working with a user researcher and conducting user research and usability testing.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and defend design decisions.

* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple design projects at different stages.

* Ability to work independently as a contractor and meet deadlines efficiently.

* Strong UI copywriting skills.

* Strong prototyping skills.

* Expertise in producing and managing Sketch libraries.

Education

* Associates degree in a design or technology field, or equivalent experience.

Additional Details

* At least some experience working on a product or interface that was used by a technical persona

specifically for a task that is part of or closely related to development is heavily preferred.

* Prior experience with secrets management or other data privacy services a big plus.

* The candidates will be welcome but not required to digitally whiteboard during the interview. They can use

whatever whiteboarding tool they prefer as long as they just share it with us via sharing their screen
