About the Role

As Surety Manager, you have a multi-faceted role that influences every part of the sales and client service process. Working for one of the most respected independent insurance brokerages in Hawaii, you provide critical expertise in contract surety with a deep understanding of construction exposures, the bonding process, and how to effectively work with insurance companies and underwriters to advocate on behalf of clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the administration of construction surety policies, leading the internal team s efforts to manage new business opportunities and existing client s bonding needs
• Work closely with insurance carriers on pre-underwriting, marketing, and binding coverage
• Provide resources and subject matter expertise to internal and external stakeholders plus supervise staff and the overall service process, keeping timely and accurate policy administration including correspondence with clients on billing and renewals

Skills & Experience

• At least 7-10 years of insurance industry career experience with significant expertise in contract surety/bonding in client service, marketing, and/or underwriting
• Prior management experience is helpful but not required
• State insurance license or able to obtain one shortly upon hire

Job Specs

Location: Working for a Hawaii based team, qualified remote applicants will be considered, preferably working the same Hawaiian Standard Time zone or within an hour or two of the local office schedule.
