Technical Writer

Description:

AAC is seeking a self-motivated team member to provide Technical Writing expertise to a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD. This individual will work in a team environment to ensure mission needs are met and ensure functionality of capabilities and services for customers. This individual should be detail oriented in order to capture customer inquiries appropriately.
Qualifications

• Draft, expand, refine, and edit technical concepts or solutions into easy-to-read, comprehensive, compliant, signature-ready, and compelling documents tailored for audiences ranging from entry-level technical to executive level Responsible for creating and writing various types of user documents, including how-to guides, references, manuals, cheat sheets, or instructions
• Become well versed in and comply with federal government and Leidos official document requirements and style guides
• Document, track, and obtain approvals for open vulnerabilities that cannot be remediated through the use of POA&Ms, Risk Acceptance requests, or other customer-mandated processes and form

• High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
• 4 years experience
• Responsible for preparing and maintaining systems, programming and operations documentation, procedures, and methods, including user manuals, reference manuals, etc. Maintain a current internal documentation library. Provide or coordinate special documentation services as required. Act as project leader for large jobs.
