JOB TITLE: Technician 2 SUMMARY: A Technician 2 performs advanced vehicle production on vehicles and basic production on emergency equipment. They work as a member of the production team to ensure their specific task is completed in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of quality. QUALIFICATIONS: Have a valid driver s license Own and able to operate the tools listed below Minimum 2 years of basic mechanical automobile experience Basic knowledge of 12-volt battery diagnostics Minimum of 1 year emergency vehicle outfitting experience ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Able to read and correctly interpret build sheets Able to read and correctly interpret manufacture instruction manuals Advanced knowledge of how to assemble and disassemble vehicle components Able to properly and safely solder and heat shrink according to AEP NorthAmerica standards Able to properly and safely loom and wire Able to properly and safely perform basic car wiring Able to properly and safely perform basic vehicle fabrication Able to properly and safely use basic hand, power, and air tools Able to properly and safely use a vehicle hoist Able to properly and safely use 12 volt relay and testing equipment Able to properly and safely operate a hand torch TOOL LIST: Unibit 7/8 Unibit Basic adaptor kit for use with cordless drill Basic metric socket set Basic metric wrench set Basic standard socket set Basic standard wrench set Cordless drill (9.6 volts or greater) Crimper Drill bit set Flashlight Flat screwdriver set Flush cut pliers Magnetic tray Micro torch Phillips screwdriver set Power Probe Safety glasses Tool Box Voltmeter Wire stripper
