Your Role
As a Diesel Technician IV, you are a pivotal player in maintaining and enhancing the performance of our luxury coach fleet. Your role extends beyond routine maintenance, as you contribute to the development of advanced techniques and innovative solutions that keep our vehicles operating at peak performance. You will tackle complex assignments with creativity and initiative, often acting independently to resolve challenging issues. Your leadership will be essential in guiding your team through complex repairs and maintenance, ensuring that our luxury coaches continue to deliver exceptional service to our high-profile clients, including musicians, politicians, and celebrities.

In this role, you will not only execute tasks but also recommend and implement new procedures to improve efficiency and reliability. Your ability to break down complex problems and systematically gather data will be crucial in maintaining the high standards expected of Encore Fleet Services. You will also play a key role in building formal networks with key decision-makers and influencing the direction of our operations. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced maintenance and repair techniques for diesel engines, with a focus on Volvo and Detroit Diesel models.
  • Lead and facilitate teams in diagnosing and repairing complex issues, including electrical and electronic systems, brake and transmission systems, and fuel injection systems.
  • Independently determine methods and procedures for new assignments, acting as a subject matter expert within the team.
  • Break down complex problems, systematically gathering additional data to inform problem resolution.
  • Make recommendations for new procedures and process improvements, contributing to the continuous enhancement of operational efficiency.
  • Review and oversee complex or sensitive work, ensuring that all tasks meet safety and performance standards.
  • Express ideas and provide feedback openly and professionally across the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Create formal networks with key decision-makers, influencing the strategic direction of maintenance operations.
  • Assess performance against goals and identify areas for improvement, translating business opportunities into actionable measures that benefit the business unit.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in large diesel engine maintenance and repair.
  • Extensive experience working on Volvo diesel engines.
  • Proficient in interpreting and troubleshooting pneumatic and wiring diagrams, with advanced diagnostic tool usage.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and facilitate complex assignments.

  • Experience working on luxury coaches is preferred.
