About the Position:

As a Facilities Engineer at E Ink, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills will contribute to creating a safe, functional, and productive environment for our team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address facility-related challenges, implement improvements, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot facility issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Assist in diagnose and troubleshooting of lab equipment, installation, repair and replacement of equipment and parts.
  • Coordinate and oversee external contractors for specialized maintenance and repair projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Participate in the development and execution of preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of facility-related processes and protocols.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of facility expansion or renovation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the operational needs of the organization.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in facilities management.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities engineering or a related role.
  • Strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes related to facilities maintenance and safety.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot facility-related issues effectively.
  • Experience working with external contractors and overseeing maintenance projects.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment

Benefits:

The anticipated base salary for this position is $90-$120K annually for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
