Purpose:
As a B2B Sales Manager, you will be integral to Edible's expansion into new B2B sales channels and the development of a new revenue stream. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and establishing an effective B2B sales function from the ground up. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of our business and build a strong sales strategy.
This role is perfect for someone who is entrepreneurial, self-driven, and passionate about making a direct impact on company growth.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, target, and engage potential clients in non-traditional sales channels (e.g., corporate gifting, catering / bulk orders for events, hospitals, healthcare, hotels, education / school systems, etc.)
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, email campaigns, and other proactive outreach methods
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing, negotiating terms, and finalizing agreements to meet and exceed sales targets
- Develop sales processes, best practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to create a structured approach to B2B sales
- Set up and maintain a prospect and client records system (e.g., spreadsheets, basic database tools) to track leads, manage contacts, and monitor sales activities
- Create regular sales reports and analyze performance metrics to inform strategy and decision-making
- Continuously gather insights from your sales activities to refine strategies, improve processes, and share learnings with the broader team
- Work cross functionally and collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align B2B initiatives with overall company objectives
- Provide feedback to the product team based on customer needs and market trends, helping to shape future product offerings and marketing strategies
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in non-traditional sales channels
Requirements:
- 5+ years success in b2b sales with experience in selling to non-traditional channels (e.g., corporate gifting, catering / bulk orders, universities, hospitals, government, etc.) is a strong plus
- Proven expertise in owning end to end sales cycle from prospecting and developing tailored outreach messages, managing negotiations, closing deals and nurturing partnerships longer-term
- Previous experience in roles where you've had to build sales processes, organize sales systems, or other sales infrastructure from the ground up.
- Experience in environments with minimal structure or initial resources is helpful
